Common questions

Answers, before you ever come in

How much does a consultation cost?

Nothing. Consultations and evaluations are completely free — no visit fee and no obligation. We want you to have answers before you decide anything.

Does insurance cover prosthetics?

In most cases, yes. We work with insurance and major credit cards, and we help handle the claims and paperwork for medically necessary prosthetic devices so the path forward is clear.

What happens after an amputation — what is the process?

Your doctor may prescribe a shrinker to shape and heal your residual limb. When you meet us, we get to know your lifestyle and goals, then build a custom prosthesis once your limb is healed. We teach you how to wear and care for it, support you through physical therapy, and adjust it over time with follow-up care.

What types of prosthetics do you make?

We provide every level of lower-limb care: below-knee (transtibial), above-knee (transfemoral), partial foot, and hip disarticulation — including microprocessor knees and feet, vacuum-assisted suction sockets, myoelectric and hybrid systems, sports and recreational adaptive equipment, and all levels of cosmetic prosthetics.

How long until I can get my prosthesis?

Once your residual limb has healed enough, we measure and fit a prosthesis custom-made from materials tailored to your needs. We then teach you how to put it on and care for it, and continue adjusting as your limb changes.

Do you serve areas outside of Tyler?

Yes. We serve Tyler and the surrounding East Texas communities — including Longview, Whitehouse, Lindale, Athens, Jacksonville, and Bullard.
